Weaving People to Grow Foundation (WPTG Foundation) is a Non- Profit Organization (NPO) founded on January 1, 2022, in the Rawalpindi district of Pakistan. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 under the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies on September 23, 2024 and Punjab Charities Act 2018 with Government of Pakistan on January 22, 2025. We are also registered with Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR). WPTG Foundation was established in January 2022 following a series of intensive discussions held during 2020 and 2021 among a group of like-minded professionals who shared a common vision of promoting peaceful coexistence among Pakistan’s diverse communities. Recognizing that sustainable peace is closely linked to social and economic well-being, the founders envisioned an organization that would address the root causes of exclusion and inequality while fostering harmony and mutual respect.
The founding team also concluded that lasting peace cannot be achieved without positive behavioral change. Therefore, they committed to integrating moral, ethical, and civic values into every initiative undertaken by the Foundation. They firmly believe that the principle of “loving thy neighbor” serves as a cornerstone for building trust, respect, and meaningful relationships among communities. Strengthening peaceful relationships between empowered and marginalized groups can create opportunities for shared prosperity, social inclusion, and collective well-being.
After conducting a comprehensive analysis of the socioeconomic challenges faced by marginalized communities, the Foundation identified six strategic areas of intervention that have the greatest potential to improve people’s lives. These focus areas are: Social Cohesion, Church and Community Development, Education, Climate Action and Disaster Risk Reduction, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Good Health. Through these interconnected areas, WPTG Foundation strives to empower vulnerable communities, promote inclusive development by working at institutional level for a peaceful, just, and prosperous Pakistan.
