Food Bags Distribution among the Vulnerable Families

Major Activities
Weaving People to Grow Foundation (WPTG Foundation) in collaboration with Alkidmat Foundation distributed Food Bags among 200 deserving and financially vulnerable families. The event was organized on the premises of St. Catherine’s Girls Hostel, Lalkurti Rawalpindi. WPTG Foundation’s office is also located on this premises. There were a total of 173 women and 27 males out of a total of 200 beneficiaries. The beneficiaries included widows, persons with disabilities and diseases particularly women suffering from chronic diseases such as cancer,  families with accident patients and jobless persons starving at home due to zero earnings.  The event had two rounds; 1) Keynote speeches by the Honourable Guests and 2) Food Bags Distribution by WPTG Foundation’s Team among the 200 beneficiaries. One-Day Interfaith Women’s Cricket Match

Major Activities
Weaving People to Grow Foundation (WPTG Foundation) in collaboration with Global Neighbourhood for Media Innovation (GNMI) under its social initiative PeaceFlix organized a One-Day Interfaith Women’s Cricket Match “PEACE NOT-OUT” on March 4, 2023, at Qadeer Hockey Ground, Jhang Syeda Islamabad. The cricket match was played between the Guardians and the Supernovas teams; the match was won by the Gaurdians team. The purpose of the event was to promote interfaith harmony among diverse faith players and community members and to increase women’s representation in sports. A total of 100 community members attended the event. WPTG Foundation’s Scholarship Program

Recent Activities
Weaving People to Grow Foundation (WPTG Foundation) initiated its Scholarship project in December 2022 with the generous contribution of Murree Brewery Pakistan, Peace and Reconciliation Network, an individual donor from Australia and WPTG Foundation Board Members and Volunteers. The Scholarship Program is being implemented under the project titled “Empowering Lower Socioeconomic Communities through Education in Pakistan”. It aims to empower youth and children belonging to lower socioeconomic communities to continue their education in mainstream educational institutions without the stress of educational expenses. The project has been helping these students by paying their monthly school fees and providing food items to two girls belonging to ultra-poor families.
